It’s a great day’s racing but for me the day starts and ends with the first race. Winker Watson makes his long awaited Ascot appearance, and I’ve told pretty much everyone I know to get on. I’m a star if he wins and a my name is mud if he doesn’t. 695q5n
I think the world of the horse. The reports from Pete paint him as a real superstar – he describes him as “a bit of a freak”. His gallops work is awesome and he’s shown he has a great attitude on the course. If there was a real deluge before the race then that might be a problem, but it doesn’t look likely. He’s probably a little better over 6f, but I don’t think that’s going to make much difference. Here’s hoping.
